Palisades Medical Center officially joins Hackensack health network

March 1, 2016

North Bergen’s Palisades Medical Center officially became HackensackUMC Palisades on Tuesday as it completed its transition into the Hackensack University Health Network.

“Since 2012, both HackensackUHN and Palisades have worked collaboratively to enhance services that include pediatric cardiology, neonatology and — most recently — oncology,” Hackensack said in a statement. “In 2015, HackensackUMC Palisades opened a new, 57,000-square-foot outpatient facility overlooking the Hudson River that offers additional services of HackensackUMC’s John Theurer Cancer Center at Palisades.”

The addition to HackensackUHN means the health system boasts 1,717 hospital and nursing home beds, more than 10,800 team members and 3,300 physicians.
