Hackensack Meridian Health Network is pleased to announce that Andrew L. Pecora, M.D., FACP, CPE, president, Physicians Services Division; and chief innovations officer, professor and vice president of Cancer Services, John Theurer Cancer Center at HackensackUMC; was selected to attend the Cancer Moonshot Summit, on behalf of Hackensack Meridian Health Network, at Howard University in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, June 28.
The Cancer Moonshot Summit was part of a national day of action that included more than 270 events in communities across the United States. Vice President Joe Biden joined with 350 invited researchers, oncologists and other care providers, data and technology experts, patients, families, and patient advocates, to discuss ways to improve the nation’s understanding, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care of cancer.

“A certified hematologist/oncologist, Dr. Pecora joined HackensackUMC in 1989 from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer as director of the Adult Blood and Marrow Transplant Program. He serves as professor of Medicine, UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, and professor of Oncology and Medicine, Georgetown University. ”
