August 17, 2016

Hackensack University Medical Center and Columbia University Medical Center are officially working together to provide better treatment options for liver care in New Jersey.

The move will allow Hackensack access to the latest innovations at Columbia’s Division of Liver Disease and Transplantation.

“This new collaboration addresses the needs of patients with liver disease, including cancer, by bringing together Columbia University, one of the nation’s top academic medical centers and best in New York, with HackensackUMC, listed as the No. 1 hospital in New Jersey in U.S. News & World Report’s 2016-17 Best Hospital rankings,” said Ihor Sawczuk, president of HackensackUMC.
