Patients at HackensackUMC Celebrate Halloween, Thanks to a Dedicated Board Member and Friends

On October 27,  Rosemarie “Ro” Sorce, vice chairwoman of the Hackensack University Medical Center Board of Governors and Foundation Board of Trustees, along with a group of dear friends dressed to celebrate Halloween, visited patients at HackensackUMC to honor this special occasion.

During the visit, the group sang songs as they made their rounds and distributed treats and goodies along with coloring books and crayons to patients at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital. In addition, the group visited patients in the elder care unit and the John Theurer Cancer Center where they distributed crossword puzzle books.  According to health care team members, the visits make quite an impression on patients and their families, helping to lift spirits.  The team looks forward to the visits as well.  Mrs. Sorce and friends visit HackensackUMC several times a year to commemorate several special occasions, including Halloween.
