Hackensack Meridian Health Jersey Shore University Medical Center has been rated as one of the nation’s top heart hospitals in the May 2017 issue of Consumer Reports. The special report on heart health rated hospitals based on surgery success rates.
Hospitals that were rated included those that shared outcomes data with Consumer Reports and performed well in heart bypass and aortic valve replacement. Data that was considered for the report measured complications, mortality, and other factors.
Jersey Shore University Medical Center was among an elite list of 21 hospitals from the Northeast region to make the list. The region included hospitals in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.
