Connecting the Dots Between HPV and Oral Cancer

Manny Alvarez, M.D. chairman of obstetrics/gynecology at Hackensack University Medical Center, warns that in a small number of cases, HPV has been known to cause oral cancer. Not all strains of the virus carry the risk. Scientists have identified only nine out of more than 200 strains that are problematic.
