The Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation is pleased to announce that Tackle Kids Cancer, a philanthropic program benefitting the Children’s Cancer Institute at Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center received a generous donation in the amount of $105,703 from March Associates Construction, Inc. The donation represents the proceeds from a recent company-sponsored golf outing at Upper Montclair Country Club.
“The culture and philosophy at March is one of giving,” said Lou March, Jr., president of March Associates Construction, Inc. “Every year, we select a large fundraising effort to support and this year, we felt Tackle Kids Cancer was a tremendous way to help ease some of the burden and stresses families go through when a family member is battling cancer, especially a child. The response from the community and our March employees and families who worked so hard to pull off a successful event was overwhelming.”
The money will benefit the Tackle Kids Cancer program, which raises funds for critical research and innovative patient care programs at the Children’s Cancer Institute at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital.
“The Foundation is incredibly grateful to March Associates Construction and to all of our corporate and community sponsors who are helping us in our quest to find a cure for pediatric cancer,” said Amy Glazer, director, Tackle Kids Cancer and Annual Giving, Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation. “Every dollar received through the Tackle Kids Cancer campaign will support the most important programs and research led by our team of dedicated clinicians and researchers at the Children’s Cancer Institute.”
