Maureen Kim, M.D.

Attending Neonatologist

Residency:  Mt. Sinai Hospital, NY, NY

Fellowship: Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, Columbia University Medical Center, NY, NY

Research/Clinical Interests: As a neonatologist, I care for some of our hospital's sickest and most fragile patients in our neonatal intensive care unit.  I am dedicated to improving the quality of care we provide for our critically ill neonates, who are especially vulnerable to consequences from hospital acquired conditions (HACs) and medical errors.   I have led improvement efforts to reduce unplanned extubations in the NICU, reduce inpatient pediatric and newborn falls/drops, reduce radiation exposure for our NICU patients, reduce NICU readmissions and surgical site infections and improve antibiotic stewardship.  I also have a passion for teaching systematic quality improvement science to medical students, graduate medical trainees, and fellow faculty.
