The Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP)
The Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP) is recruiting volunteers to work at the bedside with geriatric patients at Hackensack University Medical Center. Volunteers provide interventions that include: daily visits, feeding assistance, range of motion exercises/walking programs, and therapeutic activities. Training includes: a general hospital orientation, a two hour class on geriatric concepts, and hospital shadowing with an experienced volunteer. The Corner Shop Volunteer
The Corner Shop Volunteer is committed to supporting a positive patient care experience in the gift shops. The Corner Shop volunteer sales assistant supports HackensackUMC Foundation’s fundraising goals by providing retail services to the patients, visitors, staff, and community of the medical center. The John Theurer Cancer Center Volunteer (JTCC)
The John Theurer Cancer Center (JTCC) volunteer will provide assistance to patients and family members/caregivers in navigating the JTCC facility and serve lunch to patients receiving infusions.
