Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health Welcomes Two Chiefs of Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Drs. Sirak and Marcantuono Bring Knowledge and Experience to Care for Patients

Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health is proud to welcome two distinguished physicians as new leaders of pediatric Physician Medicine and Rehabilitation. Michelle Sirak, M.D., was named section Chief of Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Hackensack Meridian Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital, and Nicole Marcantuono, M.D., was named section Chief of Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Hackensack Meridian K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital.

With a passion to help all children reach their fullest potential, Dr. Marcantuono specializes in (and has been published on the topic of) brain injury and concussion; treating a wide range of disabilities, conditions, and injuries to help patients achieve their maximum mobility. She provides many critical treatments, including but not limited to, botox injections, intrathecal baclofen pump management, electromyography (EMG), and dry needling.

She is board certified in pediatric rehabilitation medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and pediatrics. Dr. Marcantuono received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine and completed her residency in pediatrics/physical medicine and rehabilitation from Thomas Jefferson University/Al duPont Hospital for Children.

With more than a decade of experience, Dr. Sirak specializes in spasticity management and neuromuscular disorders, and treats a wide range of disabilities and injuries to help patients achieve their maximum mobility. Dr. Sirak brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to transform the lives of our patients. As an awarded physician, she has numerous publications in the area of Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and frequently leads academic presentations on a local and national scale.

Board certified in both Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Sirak received her medical degree from UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, completed her residency at NYPH - Columbia/Cornell, and completed a fellowship in pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation at Montefiore Medical Center.
