IOP Education
Unless treated and stopped, alcohol or drug addiction is a serious, progressive illness that can lead to mental, physical and emotional pain and even death. Intensive outpatient treatment focuses on a recovery program concerned not just with abstinence, but with improved quality of life and well-being.
Our IOP is based on evidence-based clinical interventions in tandem with an individualized evaluation and treatment plan for each person’s specific needs. Besides the goal of preventing relapse, we strive to help patients with substance use disorders understand the disease of addiction by providing information about the physical, emotional, social and legal consequences of alcohol and/or drug use.
Addiction Treatment While Living Everyday Life
The IOP enables you to seek treatment for your addiction to alcohol or drugs while continuing to work and take care of your family.
Treatment begins with an initial addiction consultation and addiction/psychiatric assessment by a physician. Once admitted to our program, you will work with an assigned addiction counselor as well as other team members providing services to IOP patients in regularly scheduled individual and family sessions. This is combined with group counseling that is also run by our highly experienced therapists who have expertise in both mental health and substance use disorders.
