Hackensack Meridian’s two top hospitals to offer novel treatment for high-risk stroke patients.

Two hospitals that are part of Hackensack Meridian Health, Jersey Shore University Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center, have become two of the first three hospitals in the state to offer a breakthrough treatment for people who are at high risk for strokes. The new treatment, TransCarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR), is a minimally-invasive procedure using the ENROUTE Transcarotid Neuroprotection and Stent System developed by California-based Silk Road Medical.
