Meridian Health Launches Lyrics for Life Event Series to Get Communities Tuned Into Their Health

April 25, 2016

Unique event experiences come together to create a personal playlist for optimal health

On Tuesday, April 26, Meridian Health will launch the first of seven healthy living events as part of its Lyrics for Life Event Series. Community members can partake in event topics ranging from healthy eating to fitness to sleep.

Every one of us wishes to live our lives at full volume – feeling healthy and fulfilled. However, today’s hectic and frenetic schedules don’t leave much time to gather the tools you need for optimal health, wellness, and happiness. Meridian created the Lyrics for Life Series to encourage a healthy lifestyle and get community members tuned into their health.

The Lyrics for Life Series will provide tips and useful information that will help you become your best self. A series designed as a playlist featuring all the elements of optimal health — nutrition, exercise, sleep, purpose, and resilience – it is sure to get your heart rockin’, your legs dancin’, and your soul singin’.

The first event takes place on Tuesday, April 26 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Dean’s Natural Food Market in Shrewsbury. Dean’s executive chef will show how easy it is to find and prepare delicious, locally grown food. Guests will also walk away with menus, recipes, and a farm to table shopping list. Other events in the series include:

  • Pink Laughter Yoga in May
  • Heart and Sole Cup in June and September
  • Dance4Life in September
  • Women Rock: Rock Your Health, Rock Your Life! in October
  • Find Your Happy, Find Your Healthy in October
  • The Power of an Hour in November

Most of the events will be free of charge to community members with the exception of Meridian’s Heart and Sole Cup 5K series, which is offering a special Lyrics for Life Series rate of $10 per run.
