Hackensack Meridian Health Wins 2 PeopleSoft Innovator Awards

Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey’s largest and most comprehensive health network, is pleased to announce it received two PeopleSoft Innovator Awards from Oracle, a leading global computer technology corporation, for its outstanding work implementing PeopleSoft HCM and Financial systems. The award was presented at the COLLABORATE 19: Technology and Applications Forum in San Antonio, Texas on April 7.
That brings Hackensack Meridian Health’s total to four PeopleSoft Innovator Awards, having previously been honored in April and November 2018.
“I want to congratulate our Hackensack Meridian Health Information Technology team for achieving this distinction,” said Robert C. Garrett, FACHE, CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health. “As we continue to transform our health care network and information technology practices, Dr. David Reis and our entire team have once again demonstrated they are leading the way.”
Hackensack Meridian Health received one Innovator Award for implementing a Fluid user interface for PeopleSoft HCM and Financials that created the Employee Self Service dashboard as the home page for all users and also provided a way for the network’s team members to easily retrieve and access information in PeopleSoft Financials.
The second award was for deploying the custom PeopleSoft Scheduling System to approximately 26,000 team members being converted from seven legacy payroll and scheduling systems. This custom systems enables the standardization of scheduling and provides a paperless solution to the network.
“We are honored to receive this recognition from Oracle for our work in successfully deploying PeopleSoft in creative ways that add value to the network,” said David Reis, Ph.D., executive vice president, chief information officer of Hackensack Meridian Health. “These solutions were the result of collaborative efforts of our payroll, financial and IT teams and once again demonstrates that Hackensack Meridian Health is an organization dedicated to designing, testing and implementing technology in new and innovative ways. I am proud of what we are able to accomplish together for the benefit of our patients and team members.”
“This was truly a collaborative team effort among the IT Division’s departments that allowed us to roll out PeopleSoft HCM and to enhance PeopleSoft Financials in a creative way recognized by Oracle,” according to Gary Wilhelm, Vice President for Business Applications for Hackensack Meridian Health. “In addition the collaborative work by the IT Division, we were successful because of the partnerships forged between the IT Division and the operations departments such as payroll and finance across the network.”
The PeopleSoft Innovators program was launched in August of 2017. PeopleSoft Innovators showcase what is possible with today’s PeopleSoft – driving measurable results in areas such as reduced operating costs, more rapid response to changing business demands, and providing users with an intuitive and productive user interface.
