JFK Medical Center Awarded Wound Care Certification from The Joint Commission

Certification establishes JFK’s Center for Wound Healing as a leader in high-quality wound care

Hackensack Meridian Health JFK Medical Center announced today that it has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Wound Care Certification. The Gold Seal of Approval® is a symbol of quality that reflects the Center for Wound Healing at JFK Medical Center’s commitment to providing safe and effective patient care.

The Center for Wound Healing underwent a rigorous on-site review in February. Joint Commission experts evaluated compliance with national disease-specific care standards as well as with wound care-specific requirements. Clinical practice guidelines and performance measures also were assessed.

Established in 2002 and awarded for a two-year period, The Joint Commission’s Wound Care Certification evaluates clinical programs across the entire continuum of patient care.
