Hackensack Meridian Integrative Health & Medicine has expanded services to serve the community at Hackensack Meridian Health Riverview Medical Center through a generous donation from Frank and Valerie Montecalvo. Beginning Tuesday, July 30, added services will include: integrative physician consultations, nurse practitioner consults, acupuncture, nutrition counseling and health coaching services. Health psychology will be available in September.

“We are so pleased to be able to support Riverview Medical Center in offering these critical services to our local community. We are firm believers in the care of the entire person and are so excited to see how this program will help the medical center continue its critical work in providing the highest quality health care to thousands in our region,” says Valerie Montecalvo.

Integrative Health & Medicine focuses on the health and well-being of the whole person – mind, body and spirit. The team of Integrative Health & Medicine practitioners address the impact of lifestyle, environment and genetics on an individual’s well-being while optimizing health over one’s lifespan by addressing the unique circumstances of the individual.

“We are thrilled to continue growing and bring Integrative Health & Medicine to a new location,” says Kelly Briggs, MBA, RN, NE-BC, administrative director of Hackensack Meridian Integrative Health & Medicine. “We look forward to providing care to families of Red Bank and the surrounding communities.”

“The Integrative Health & Medicine program started at Hackensack Meridian Health three years ago due to a great team effort and it has always been our vision to serve the community of Red Bank,” says Timothy J. Hogan, FACHE, president, Care Transformation Services. “Being part of the initiative from its inception, I am so proud to see this coming to fruition.”

“Being able to offer Integrative Health & Medicine at Riverview Medical Center greatly expands our ability to care for our community,” said Kelli O’Brien, chief hospital executive at Riverview Medical Center. “We strive to take a comprehensive approach to health care and this allows us to provide patients with types of care they might not have previously considered.”
