Department of Organ Transplantation at Hackensack University Medical Center Welcomes New Member of the Team

The Division of Organ Transplantation in the Department of Surgery at Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center is proud to announce the addition of Seth Narins, M.D., Ph.D., to the surgical team.

“As an expert in transplantation, Dr. Narins is a board certified and fellowship-trained transplant surgeon specializing in living kidney donations, the management of post-transplant infections and improved outcomes,” said Michael J. Goldstein, M.D., FACS, director, Division of Abdominal Organ Transplantation at Hackensack University Medical Center.  “I am pleased to welcome Dr. Narins to his new position, and I am confident he will continue to elevate our transplant team as one of the finest in the nation.”

Together, in coordination with Ankita Patel, M.D., Michael Goldstein, M.D., FACS, and Larry Melton, M.D., Ph.D., the Division of Organ Transplantation performs adult kidney, pancreas and simultaneous kidney/pancreas transplant surgeries as well as pediatric kidney transplants and provides all necessary services to support and guide patients through the transplant experience.

“I am very pleased to join the organ transplant team and proud to be a member of the Hackensack University Medical Center family,” said Dr. Narins.  “I look forward to growing the medical center’s transplant program and expanding the use of living donors for successful renal transplants.”

As one of only a few certified transplant centers in New Jersey, the center provides complete pre-transplant evaluation, surgical services, and post-operative care. Along with board-certified physicians, a team of transplant nurses and other professionals work closely with patients and their families.
