“We are so excited to have our annual golf outing in conjunction with Palisades Medical Center Foundation in benefit of patient care at Hackensack University Medical Center and Palisades Medical Center,” said Clare Ward, interim executive director, Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation. “Our communities were hit incredibly hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, and to finally gather together again in support of our health care heroes and their extraordinary abilities to provide outstanding, compassionate care is heartwarming.”

Hackensack University Medical Center’s campus is currently undergoing expansion as construction of the Helena Theurer Pavilion continues. Scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2022, the Helena Theurer Pavilion will provide the community with a state-of-the-art facility to go along with the innovative care Hackensack University Medical Center provides. The impressive nine-story, 530,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility will include 24 cutting-edge operating rooms, a 50-bed Intensive Care Unit, and 150 medical/surgical private patient rooms, including a 50-bed Orthopedic Institute.

“We are delighted to join Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation on the links in support of the incredible care that our medical centers and team members provide to our patients,” said Joseph Burt, vice president, Development, Palisades Medical Center Foundation. “Community support is crucial to our endeavors, especially as we move on from the COVID-19 pandemic, which wreaked havoc on northern New Jersey. We invested in critical equipment and supplies to ensure the safety of our team members and patients. We look forward to the future as we continue to provide the exceptional care our patients have come to expect and deserve.”

Palisades Medical Center is currently fundraising for the expansion of its Emergency Department. In the last four years, visits to the Emergency Department have increased by 10,000 visitors, exceeding 52,000 visitors annually. Plans to meet this need include adding individual exam rooms for greater privacy and dedicated space for pediatric and behavioral health patients.
