Contracts and Budgets
Before a study can be sent to any committee for review, it is first sent to the Contracts and Budgets teams. The Contracts department reviews each study to determine whether or not the research study requires any contracts with external agencies. If so, then they ensure that the contract terms are fair and protect the investigators, the participants, and the institution. More information about the services provided by the Contracts department can be found here.
The Budgets team develops and negotiates budgets for industry sponsored and investigator initiated studies. They utilize the OnCore Calendar and coverage analysis determinations to build each budget, ensuring that HMH recovers all anticipated costs of a study. In addition, for each study, the team ascertains that the clinical research budget utilizes the HMH clinical research fee schedules and has a fully executed budget that will cover the costs of services rendered for research purposes only. More information on the Budgets department can be found here.
