The Division of Surgical Oncology at John Theurer Cancer Center, part of Hackensack University Medical Center, we treat both gastrointestinal and soft tissue malignancies with a full range of minimally invasive and traditional surgical techniques. Our surgeons perform a variety of procedures from simple localized excisions to complex and sophisticated resection. Gastrointestinal malignancies include esophageal, stomach, pancreas, liver, colon, and rectal cancers.
Soft tissue malignancies include melanoma, sarcoma, and breast cancer. Because every patient and every case is different, each procedure is carefully planned to ensure the most favorable outcomes. Minimally invasive surgical techniques are used where possible to decrease post-operative pain and reduce healing time.
