Our Commitment to Education
Hackensack University Medical Center recognizes as one of its major responsibilities the provision of organized educational programs. This responsibility includes the guidance and supervision of the resident while facilitating the resident’s professional and personal development and ensuring safe and appropriate care for patients.
Hackensack University Medical Center is committed to establishing and expanding Hackensack University Medical Center based Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited residency and fellowship programs. The plan enables the medical center to grow and to develop additional academic affiliations with medical schools and/or other institutions to enhance the quality of graduate medical education and to drive the medical center’s clinical program development and care delivery to the highest caliber of treatment available.
Hackensack University Medical Center established an organized administrative structure to oversee all GME programs through the activities of the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC), Designated Institutional Official (DIO), and the GME staff. This commitment includes the provision of necessary financial support for administrative, educational, and clinical resources, including personnel, to support its graduate medical education programs accredited by the ACGME.

Requests for training verification of any residency and/or fellowship training must be submitted directly to the Training Program for completion.
Please note information pertaining to an alumni’s performance and/or privileging may not be available if training period occurred longer than ten years prior.
