Registration and Enrollment

Important Information

Nursing Students

The student academic record is retained for two semesters to enroll in courses. If you do not enroll for the current semester, you are required to enroll for the next semester to keep your academic record in good standing. If you do not enroll you will be placed in defunct status. Students placed in defunct status must re-apply and repeat the entire admissions process.

Program Completion Limit: No student may take more than the below stated time limit to complete the program, inclusive of the time accrued during a leave of absence. This does not include time accrued due to a seat being unavailable. Failure to comply with this policy will result in dismissal from the program.

It is the standard of the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and the Hackensack Meridian Health JFK Muhlenberg Snyder School of Nursing that all students complete the program in 150% of the program length as follows:

Track 150% of Program Length
Accelerated Track 5 semester
Generic Track 8 semester
LPN to RN Track 5 semester
Pathways to BSN Track 8 semester

 

Radiography Students

Welcome to Our Program

Student majors are updated at Union College of Union County, NJ to reflect your Hackensack Meridian Health JFK Muhlenberg Harold B. and Dorothy A. Snyder Schools of Nursing and Medical Imaging major.

You register for your Hackensack Meridian Health JFK Muhlenberg Snyder Schools and Union College of Union County NJ classes through the TechSupport Knowledge Base | Union College (ucc.edu). See Union College of Union County NJ's Academic Calendar for open dates to register.

You should register for the outstanding courses on the curriculum sheet you received with your Acceptance letter.

Awarded Credits

  • If you do not have a Bachelor’s degree, you may transfer in up to 36 credits.
  • If you have a Bachelor’s degree, you may transfer in up to 40 credits.
  • Awarded credit of courses can be viewed through Student Self Service selecting My Progress. Refer to the Union College of Union County, NJ catalog for the list of humanities electives.
  • If you need to submit an updated transcript, please send it to Adam.Klein@hmhn.org. This email address is for Transcripts ONLY from current students.
  • Courses taken at Union College of Union County, NJ are not considered transfer credit.
  • You must have a minimum of six (6) credits to be eligible for a student loan.
  • Do not register for courses through Union College of Union County, NJ counselors.
  • Do not pay online at Union County College of Union County, NJ for your courses. See Tuition and Fees Guide.
  • When you register for courses you are agreeing to purchase a seat in each course you select, and you are responsible for payment of the tuition and fee charges. Should you choose not to begin the courses for which you have registered, you, the student, must officially drop those courses before the first day of the semester. Always refer to the Academic Calendar for deadlines to avoid charges.
  • Outstanding financial obligations must be paid in full. If you currently have an outstanding balance, you are placed on registration hold and will be unable to register.
  • For any Union College of Union County, NJ obligation, (parking permit, library fines or parking tickets), you must pay Union College of Union County, NJ directly.
  • Students who have not paid the current Term Bill will not be guaranteed a seat in their next nursing course.

First-Time College Students

If you are a first-time college student (no previous college) who intends to enroll during the Fall or Spring semester, orientation is required after submitting your:
