My name is Dr. Iyad Baker and I am the Program Director of Family Medicine Residency at HMH Palisades Medical Center. I welcome you to our page and hope you find all the answer you need for our program.
Our program is a small but resident oriented in every way. Our residents work as a family to lift each other through out their training. We have graduated many family physicians, all board certified that are employed in different states in the nation. We have 100% board pass rate and we strive to continue this accomplishment for a long time. We promote diversity in our program and always create an environment that’s easy to learn for our residents. Our faculty are very skilled in preparing our residents for clinical knowledge and evidence-based medicine. Our program is not unopposed and we collaborate with many different residency programs in our institute to provide a wholesome medical care to our patients.
Family Medicine Residency Program at HMH Palisades Medical Center promotes exceptional medical training that is evidence-based medicine, promotes cultural diversity, medical care that is patient oriented and strive to improve on daily basis. Our graduates have set high standards in different medical practices in the nation. We believe that physician is as good as its training and we endeavor to uphold this core element. Medical training with patient ethics is measures that teaches our residents to apply core medical knowledge while being empathetic with their patients. Communication is a core element of our training, whether it’s with the patient or between a colleague. The importance of communicating a clear message with our patients promotes confidence in patient-physician relationship. At this program, the goal is to provide our residents with required tools to become the best physician so they can provide the extraordinary medical care that all our patients deserve.

Program Overview
Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program provides a vast variety of rotations with impeccable knowledge and training to prepare our residents with innovation, leadership and highly skilled physicians. We work closely with many different faculties in our institute to groom our resident physicians in Adult medicine, Pediatrics medicine and Obstetrics and gynecology to give a wholesome experience to our future physicians. Our residents collaborate with many different residency programs during their training and gets to work with colleagues with diverse backgrounds and cultures. We are located in North Bergen, NJ and provide services to surrounding boroughs. We are in close proximity to NYC and our residents love the location. We are confident in the training of our residents to work anywhere in the nation as a responsible and skilled physician.
