Hospital Medicine
The Children’s Hospital General Medicine program takes care of ill children admitted to the general pediatric floors as well as newborns admitted after delivery. We act as your primary care physician for as long as your child is admitted to the hospital and refer you back to your primary care provider on discharge. We work closely with subspecialists to ensure that your child receives the best possible care. In addition to taking care of your child, we oversee all the educational activities of pediatric residents and students rotating through Pediatrics.
Our mission is to provide high value, evidence-based care to hospitalized children regardless of race or socioeconomic status. Our physicians are committed to integrating lifelong learning and inquiry into their practice of hospital-based pediatrics.
List of Services
- Care of children admitted to the hospital using a family and patient centered approach

- Co-management of pediatric patients with surgical conditions or admitted to subspecialty services

Comprehensive Care
Pediatric Hospital Medicine has been recently recognized as a new subspecialty by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) and we are proud to inform you that all of our hospitalists who were eligible to take the initial qualifying exams did so and became board certified in this new subspecialty. Whether you are local or traveling from out of state, we are committed to proving you and your child the highest level experience, including communication with your primary care pediatrician to ensure a smooth transition to home after discharge.
