Family Medicine Practitioner Kenneth Faistl, M.D. Opens New Office

An open house for the community will be held Monday, April 23, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Kenneth Faistl, M.D., FAAFP, who is board certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine, recently opened a new office, located at 195 Route 9 South, Suite 106, in Manalapan, NJ. The office will hold an open house Monday, April 23, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The community is welcome to stop by, meet the providers, see the office, and enjoy refreshments and appetizers.

Dr. Faistl is a member of Hackensack Meridian Health Medical Group and maintains privileges at Raritan Bay Medical Center. An advocate for family medicine and holder of a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics, he returned in 2017 to the Central/Southern New Jersey community where he had an office in Freehold for more than 25 years. He is known for developing lasting, caring relationships with his patients and their families, of all ages, providing continuing and comprehensive health care. The office has affiliations with Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University and Monmouth University Physician Assistant Program providing a training site for future health care professionals.

Dr. Faistl also recently welcomed Susan Gentile, DNP, MSN, APN, to the practice. Susan is a board certified advanced practice nurse for 23 years who specializes in family medicine and has expertise in addiction medicine. She is known for building strong relationships with her patients, in addition to optimizing patient care, education, and outcomes. Susan has worked with Dr. Faistl for several years after leaving the faculty at Felician University School of Nursing.

A lifelong New Jersey resident, Dr. Faistl received his medical degree from College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, now Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and completed his residency at RWJ Medical School program at Monmouth Medical Center. The accomplished physician has held numerous medical appointments and leadership positions throughout his career. He founded the Family Medicine Residency for Rutgers University in Freehold and most recently served as director of the Family Medicine Residency program at Hackensack Meridian Health Mountainside Medical Center where he trained, directed, and provided strategy for primary care initiatives. Dr. Faistl is a recipient of the President's Award from New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians, a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, a member of the American Geriatrics Society and Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, among other professional organizations. In 2010, Dr. Faistl was selected as the Family Physician of the year by the NJ Academy of Family Physicians.
