HMH Offers 3 affordable medical plans to ensure that team members can choose the best plan that fits their needs. HMH also provides other benefits including voluntary insurances, prescription coverage and discounts, fitness tools and discounts, incentive pay for Self-Care, Wellness Coaches, Smoking cessation programs, and multiple online tools to help you reach your goals!
In addition to Mental Health benefits through our medical plans, we have our own HMH Emotional Support Resources. For emotional support resources, team members can call the 24/7 Team Member Navigation Line where a licensed mental health professional can provide confidential support and connect you with emotional support resources like WeCare and other support services.
The WeCare program is available to any team member or clinician at, or affiliated with, Hackensack Meridian Health, who is experiencing a stressful event, unexpected outcome or other challenges.
How the WeCare Program Can Help:
- Provide “emotional first aid” to those who may have been involved in or experienced an unexpected or stressful event.
- Provide one-on-one peer support in a non-judgmental, caring and supportive environment.
- Explore normal reactions and feelings that often occur after a stressful or traumatic event.
- Provide a “safe zone” to express thoughts and reactions to facilitate safe and effective coping.
- Provide assurance that emotions and reactions being experienced are normal.
- Ensure that information shared is strictly confidential.
Optum Emotional Wellness Solutions (EAP):
Optum Emotional Wellness Solutions provides team members with confidential support for both everyday challenges and more serious problems. Counselors and other specialists can help team members and their families.
Through HMH's medical plan, Horizon BCBS, we offer fertility and doula benefits for team members. HMH also offers adoption assistance and parental and family bonding leaves for eligible team members!
We know that there will be times when our team members need to take an extended period of time away from work. Our different leave of absence programs give our team members peace of mind when they have to step away from work when they have to care for a loved one.
Through Optum Emotional Wellness Solutions (EAP), team members can receive confidential guidance on child and eldercare support as well as parenting and family resources.
HMH has multiple programs that can help you overcome addiction. Through WeCare and the 24/7 Team member Support and Navigation line, team members can receive confidential support and assistance to find appropriate resources. Our EAP, Optum Emotional Wellbeing Solutions, can also offer support, guidance, and resources for our team members looking to receive help. Team members can also utilize our smoking cessation programs for overcoming nicotine addiction. Team members can use our Leave of Absence programs to take the time they need for recovery.
At HMH we believe that mental and emotional health are just as important as physical health. A full range of support and services are available through our medical benefits. In addition to this, we offer fitness education tools and discounts, incentive pay for self-care, Wellness Coaches, online self care tools, and financial planning assistance.
Live Better
HMH provides team members with the opportunity to save for retirement on a tax-advantaged basis through a 401(k) savings plan provided through TIAA. Contributions are from eligible earnings from the primary position, and employer match is provided each pay period. In addition, TIAA can also provide financial consulting and education.
Through HMH's EAP, Optum Emotional Wellness Solutions, and through TIAA, team members can receive financial consultations and education including a financial stress assessment, tax consultation and preparation and a 25% discount for income tax prep!
HMH supports continuing team members' education via our external partner EdAssist.
EdAssist can provide guidance through many aspects of adult higher education through their College Coach program. This program provides team members with career coaching, financial coaching, and academic coaching. Team members can even use this College Coach program for their children!
HMH also has a Grow with Google Certificate Program in which team members can get professional training and certificates in fast-growing, high-demand technology fields.

Many of HMH's programs can help team members improve their work/life balance. Through our EAP, Optum Emotional Wellbeing Solutions, you can tackle your to do list by simply calling and utilizing the Optum Work-Life Concierge to help you manage work-life issues, such as finding child care or a caregiver, finding resources like plumbers or pet services and fueling personal growth through learning opportunities. HMH also has several online self care tools and resources to help team members manage stress and practice mindfulness. Through HMH's partnership with Ramp Health, team members have access to Wellness Coaches so that you can get assistance reaching your goals at no additional costs!

Insurance Contact Information: Have you not received your insurance cards, need replacement cards or need to get in touch with an insurance carrier?
Explanation of Benefits: Is it unclear to you what your insurance covered on a particular claim and what your responsibility is?
Prescription/Pharmacy Issues: Is the pharmacy telling you that your medication is not covered or charging you full price? Do you need help getting an authorization on a medication?

HMH has multiple opportunities for career growth. Through our partnerships with the Grow with Google Career Certificate program and EdAssist, team members have multiple avenues to further their education. EdAssist's College Coach program provides team members with career coaching, financial coaching, academic coaching and more!
HMH also offers our Career Development Academy through Hackensack Meridian Health’s internal network university, Team HMU. This academy empower individuals in their professional growth through workshops and skill building modules.
