“Now more than ever, Hackensack Meridian Health is committed to making healthcare easier to access and manage for the communities we serve,” said Robert C. Garrett, FACHE, chief executive officer of Hackensack Meridian Health. “This recognition is no small feat, and only made possible by our talented team members, dedicated to connecting patients and providers to create the best possible healthcare outcomes.”

The network also won awards in the following categories in the highly-competitive health system group:

In 2019, Hackensack Meridian Health launched a program to build digital systems that make it easier for patients to access and manage their care across all digital tools, including web (both for patients and team members), mobile applications, email, text and social media.

Pamela Landis, senior vice president of Digital Engagement at Hackensack Meridian Health, and the Digital Engagement team, oversaw the creation, execution and monitoring of these goals and their outcomes. Jim Blazar, executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Hackensack Meridian Health and Kash Patel, executive vice president and chief digital transformation officer, are also recognized for their sponsorship and support of this critical work.

Additional members of the marketing & communications team contributed to the achievement of Best Consumer Internet Site and Best Intranet. The UNMASKED video Series, which was recognized for Best Long Form Video, was directed and produced by members of the creative and communications teams.

eHealthcare Leadership Award judges evaluate the overall digital approach and strategy of a healthcare organization, including web and mobile, marketing, staffing, internal communications, financial commitment and most of all, results.
