Barnegat Ready to Think Pink This Month

If you see a pink first aid squad vehicle in Barnegat Township this month, don’t worry, your eyesight’s fine. That’s just one of the numerous ways the township is supporting its participation in Hackensack Meridian Health’s “Paint the Town Pink” campaign, which spreads awareness of the essential role of the annual mammogram as a tool of early detection in the fight against breast cancer. The objective is to alert women 40 and older that it’s time for regular mammography screenings. (Publications covering Paint the Town Pink included: Coast Star, The Journal NJ and The Journal.)
