Groundbreaking Treatment at New Jersey Hospital

Hackensack Meridian Health will join the NBC4 Telemundo 47 Health & Fitness Expo for a sixth year at MetLife Stadium this weekend. Some of the groundbreaking work underway is featured in this clip promoting the Expo, including a pediatric oncology immunotherapy program now offered at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center. The hospital is the only site in New Jersey offering the Novartis CAR-T Cell therapy. Alfred P. Gillio, M.D., director of the Children's Cancer Institute at the children's hospital, says this therapy was approved by the FDA to treat children and young adults who have a challenging form of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
