The JFK Adult Medical Day program’s U.S. Military Veterans attended a party honoring local Edison resident, Pvt. 2nd Class Kyle Fredericks. Returning home on leave after completing basic training, he was invited to visit with military veterans at the Edison-based facility. Private Fredericks, whose mother is a nurse at the program, will soon be deployed to South Korea for his first official military assignment. During the party, veterans showed their support, shared their experiences, and offered encouragement. The program’s recreation coordinator, Gloria Lopez, said, “A sense of patriotic pride took over the crowd at the JFK Program as patriotic music filled the air and all participants and staff cheered for both Private Fredericks and those military veterans who previously served this country, were in attendance.
