A new study finds that about a quarter of New Jersey working adults survive on less than five hours of sleep per night. According to Adrian Pristas, M.D., director, Corporate Medical Sleep at Hackensack Meridian Health Center for Sleep Medicine, it's recommended that adults get at least seven and half hours of sleep per night. Six hours or less of sleep per night can impair reaction time and cognitive ability.
