CentralJersey.com (12/13) NJ Symphony Orchestra Visits Jersey Shore University Medical Center

Musicians from the NJ Symphony Orchestra made a special stop at Jersey Shore University Medical Center with a unique performance and reading of The Jungle Book. Kids from the hospital’s child care center joined team members, physicians and guests to listen to the performance by musicians from the NJ Symphony Orchestra. As the story was read aloud, stuffed animals and props were used to act out each scene, and the story was brought to life with music flowing from instruments including a violin, cello, flute, bassoon, rain stick and more. After the performance, the children were invited to participate in a “petting zoo,” where they were able to touch and play a variety of instruments.
