Raritan Bay Medical Center Begins Temporary Visitor Restrictions

New Jersey Department of Health Reporting Influenza Activity Level as High throughout New Jersey

In a proactive measure to help prevent the spread of the influenza virus, Hackensack Meridian Health Raritan Bay Medical Center–Old Bridge and Raritan Bay–Perth Amboy is temporarily suspending visitor privileges for children age 11 and younger, beginning Monday, January 14. Additionally, anyone with a fever or cough is asked to refrain from visiting the medical centers. The New Jersey Department of Health is currently reporting that influenza activity level is high throughout New Jersey. This restriction applies only to visitors and not children of any age or adults entering the hospital for treatment or testing. The visitor restriction will remain in effect until such time designated by the New Jersey Department of Health or at the conclusion of influenza season.
