Starting in April, residents in Hackensack Meridian Health's coverage area, Bergen through Ocean counties, will be given the opportunity to help local hospitals, public health departments and other health care providers assess the health status of the area through a Community Health Needs Assessment. The project will gather information about the health status of residents through a telephone survey, which will be compiled into a community report at the end of 2019. Hackensack Meridian Health also announced it is expanding the successful innovation program, Bear’s Dean, to all hospitals to encourage team members to bring forward their best ideas to improve care delivery and enhance patient satisfaction.
