Hackensack Meridian Health Appoints Theresa M. Brodrick as Executive Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive

Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey’s largest and most comprehensive health network, is pleased to announce the appointment of Theresa M. Brodrick, RN, Ph.D., NE-BC, to the position of executive vice president, network chief nurse executive, effective April 1, 2019.

As network chief nurse executive, Theresa will be responsible for all nursing practices across the network, establishing network nursing policies and overseeing the direction of nursing services, including: non-physician clinical affiliation partnerships, nursing education and research, patient safety and clinical quality of nursing, nursing-driven patient experience, and network magnet recertification and new certification.
Theresa is a proven health care executive with more than 30 years of progressive health care management experience in large academic and community institutions. She joins Hackensack Meridian Health from Kaiser Permanente in California, where she was regional chief nursing officer and vice president of Clinical Integration and Transformation.

Prior to Kaiser Permanente, Theresa was executive vice president and chief nursing officer at Cone Health in North Carolina and has held leadership roles at Virtua Health, Temple University Health System and the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
During Theresa’s extensive career, she has increased patient experience scores, implemented national quality and safety initiatives, and expanded nursing programs and educational opportunities. Theresa was also featured on Becker’s Hospital Review of 60 Hospital and Health System CNOs to Know in 2017.
Theresa received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Delaware, a Master of Science in Nursing from Villanova University and a PhD in Health Care Administration from Capella University.
