Surprise gift for Ocean Township teen with cancer: A trip to Alcatraz

Fifteen year-old Augustus Maggio was diagnosed with medulloblastoma in 2016 and is currently under the care of Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist Jessica Scerbo, M.D., and the K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital oncology team. Recently the team attended a banquet in Augustus’ honor where he was gifted a trip to San Francisco by Holmdel native Frank DeBlasi. Dr. Scerbo is quoted in the article.
