Peer-to-peer program offers support to kids with juvenile diabetes. This autoimmune disease can be isolating and lonely but thanks to the New Jersey Metro Area and Rockland County Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) peer-to-peer programs help. The Ballou family became aware of JDRF when Russell, now 8, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at Hackensack University Medical Center.
