Hackensack Meridian Health Appoints Amy Frieman, M.D., MBA, FAAHPM as Chief Wellness Officer

Hackensack Meridian Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Amy Frieman, M.D., MBA, FAAHPM as chief wellness officer. In this position, Dr. Frieman will establish network-level interventions to improve the clinician experience, and, in doing so, further optimize patient care delivery.

A member of the Hackensack Meridian Health team since 2010, Dr. Frieman has served as corporate medical director of Palliative Care Services. She supported her teams in the establishment of clinician wellness initiatives and worked with the Medical Society of New Jersey and the American Medical Association to implement practice transformation interventions. Her academic career has included particular focus on the intersection of medicine and the humanities.

Dr, Frieman holds a Bachelor of Arts and Medical Degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, she completed her medical residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and holds a Master of Business Administration from Monmouth University. She currently serves as an assistant professor at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University and as a clinical assistant professor at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine.

Dr. Frieman’s honors include recognition by the American Academy of Hospital and Palliative Medicine as an Inspirational Leader in Hospice and Palliative Medicine Under 40.
