Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health Welcomes Chief of Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Nicole Marcantuono, M.D., has joined Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health as chief of Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. She is board certified in pediatric rehabilitation medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation and pediatrics.
Dr. Marcantuono specializes in brain injury and concussion. She has published several articles on brain injury and concussion and treats a wide range of conditions, including:
- Amplified musculoskeletal pain syndrome
- Brachial plexopathy
- Brain injury
- Cerebral palsy
- Complex regional pain syndrome
- Concussion
- Developmental delays
- Fibromyalgia
- Limb deficiency
- Lymphedema

- Spinal cord injury
Dr. Marcantuono also provides treatments such as dry needling, orthotics/bracing, botox injections, intrathecal baclofen pump management and electromyography (EMG).

About Dr. Marcantuono
Dr. Marcantuono is board certified in three areas - Pediatrics, Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and completed her residency in pediatrics/physical medicine and rehabilitation at Thomas Jefferson University/Al duPont Hospital for Children.
