Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey’s largest and most comprehensive health network, is proud to announce that the network has been named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Mental Well-Being in 2025, by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group. The list represents a wide range of industries, but they all share a common commitment to foster mentally healthy workplaces where employees can thrive.
“Hackensack Meridian Health is proud to be recognized by Newsweek among the top workplaces in the nation that are looking to improve the health and well-being for our team members,” said Robert C. Garrett, FACHE, chief executive officer, Hackensack Meridian Health. “We will continue to prioritize our team members’ mental health so they can continue to provide high-quality, compassionate care to the patients we serve.”
The evaluation process included an assessment of publicly accessible data, discussions and interviews with HR professionals and large-scale confidential online surveys conducted among U.S. employees working for a diverse selection of U.S. companies that employ more than 1,000 people. This year, the list was based on more than 400,000 interviews and more than 4.9 million company reviews. Employees provided insights and experiences on corporate culture such as mental Well-being initiatives, working conditions and other aspects of their current employer and other companies they are familiar with.
Hackensack Meridian Health is committed to cultivating a positive work environment for its team members. In April, Hackensack Meridian Health was recognized as one of the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® in 2025 by Great Place To Work® and Fortune magazine. This is Hackensack Meridian Health’s first time being named to this prestigious list, one of only nine health care organizations that made the list and the highest ranked health care organization in New Jersey. In 2024, Hackensack Meridian Health was named one of Fortune’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare and Fortune’s Best Workplaces for Women, and has been recognized as a Certified Great Place to Work for nine years in a row.
