***If you are a first-time user for eResearch (Huron) and do not have access, you must complete the Google Request Form.***

Huron is the software vendor for HMH's electronic research system (eResearch) as well as HMH's Conflict of Interest (COI) disclosure software.

Users engaged in HMH research, supporting HMH research, or required by HMH policies to file COI disclosure will require access to Huron.

Frequently Asked Questions

Huron is the software vendor for the eResearch system and HMH’s Conflict of Interest (COI) disclosure software. Users that are engaged in HMH research, supporting HMH research, are required by HMH policies to file a COI disclosure must access Huron.

eResearch is HMH’s electronic research administration platform. eResearch contains the following modules to support research activities:

  • IRB (Human Subject Research)
  • Grants
  • Agreements
  • Conflicts of Interest

Huron is the software vendor for eResearch.

User data feeds refresh every night, allow up to 24 hours before attempting to login. If it has been >24 hours refer to FAQ "HMH USERID not Found" for troubleshooting tips. If you are still having issues with log in, then email huron_useraccount@hmhn.org with your Network User ID you are trying to login.

  • Make sure your login credentials are being entered correctly.

Use the following format:
HMHDOMAIN\UserID and HMH password
You will be navigated to HMH DUO

  • HMH domains are dependent upon your HMH credentialing and status in PeopleSoft. Below are general guidelines for identifying your HMH domain; however, if you do not know your HMH domain or HMH Network ID, you will need to contact the DTS help desk (Internal: x3333 External: 848-237-3333).

  • HMHN domain: users at PMC, Carrier Clinic, JFK (exclusions noted below), certain DTS employees.
  • Meridianhealth domain: users at JSUMC, SOMC, OUMC
  • HUMC domain: users at HUMC or corporate (Edison) unless otherwise noted.
  • JFK domain: select users identified as needing legacy domain for application purposes.
     
  • If you receive this message, your eResearch (Huron) account has not been activated. 
  • If you filled out the service access request form, please allow up to 48 hours for your request to be processed. 
  • If you have NOT completed the service access request, select the link below.

  • If you receive this message, your account is no longer active in eResearch (Huron).
  • If you think this is an error, please contact huron_useraccount@hmhn.org.
    • Include your full name, network ID (no passwords), and relevant information about why you believe this is an error.

Reasons for “Account Disabled” may be:

  • Your role has changed
  • You have not accessed your account for more than one year
  • You are no longer affiliated with HMH
  1. Individuals engaged in HMH research who meet the definition of a Covered Individual must update their COI disclosure annually.

  1. Individuals who meet the definition of a Covered Person by HMH’s Conflict of Interest of Covered Persons Policy must update their disclosure during the annual reporting period (opens after Labor Day). Covered Persons include, but is not limited to:
    1. HMH Directors and above
    2. Executives
    3. Purchasing Department
    4. Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee Members
    5. Employed Physicians,
    6. Employed physician assistants
    7. Employed nurse practitioners
    8. Employed clinical nurse specialists
    9. Employed certified registered nurse anesthetists and anesthesiologist assistants
    10. Employed nurse midwives

Individuals who have multiple roles at HMH will file all their required COI disclosures in Huron. Only individuals assigned to a discloser category will be able to complete the questionnaire. If you do not see questions populated in your questionnaire in Huron, email COI@hmhn.org
