The ACO realized more than $43.6 million dollars in savings

The HackensackAlliance Accountable Care Organization (ACO) has reached its goal of providing coordinated, quality care to its Medicare patients while reducing health care costs. The ACO, one of the first Medicare Shared Savings Program participants in the nation, realized more than $43.6 million in savings in 2017 – placing it sixth out of the country’s 472 ACOs for shared savings. Of the estimated $43.6 million, the ACO will receive more than $18 million, enabling its physicians to further improve patient care.

The HackensackAlliance ACO has successfully realized its savings and quality goals results since its inception in 2012 and consistently is one of the top performers among ACOs across the country. Through its innovative use of data and a skilled team of care coordinators, the ACO has never stopped refining its patient care model and finding new, efficient ways to care for its patients.
