Along with the latest research on Turmeric, cancer and chronic diseases, delicious Turmeric Protein Bites were served! Join the dietitians in the cooking studio the second, third, and fourth Wednesday of every month for more knowledge about nutrition and delicious foods!
Makes ~ 40 protein bites
Ingredients
- 1 ⅓ roasted, unsalted cashews
- 1 ⅓ cups roasted, unsalted almonds
- ⅔ cup dried figs (could use raisins)
- 1 ⅓ cups dried apricots
- 6 Tbsp ground flaxseed
- 3 tsp ground turmeric
- 3 tsp freshly grated ginger
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Pinch of salt
- Optional : ½ cup unsweetened coconut flakes
Instructions
- In a food processor, process all ingredients until your mixture is finely ground and is sticking together
- Roll into balls and refrigerate until firm
- Enjoy!
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
