Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship Program Details
Our 1 year ACGME-Accredited Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship offers one position per year.
Program Mission and Goals
Develop clinical scientists fully competent in the practice of neurophysiology. Upon completion of the program, the fellow will have an understanding of the principal theoretical and technical underpinnings of the clinical laboratory discipline.
Upon completion of our program, fellows will have the necessary skills and experience to excel in either an academic or private practice setting and will be eligible for board certification in Clinical Neurophysiology.
Curriculum and Rotations
Our curriculum offers a balanced and robust training experience, with a strong emphasis on hands-on clinical learning. The 12-month program is structured to provide in-depth exposure to all facets of clinical neurophysiology. This includes dedicated epilepsy and neuromuscular clinics, and in the performance and interpretation of EEGs, EMGs, evoked potentials (EPs), and intraoperative monitoring (IOM).

Research
Our fellowship program offers a rich environment for scholarly activity, strongly encouraging fellows to engage in the full spectrum of academic research. To foster academic growth and dissemination of knowledge, fellows are supported in presenting their research findings at national and international conferences and in publishing their work in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
Didactics
Weekly reviews on articles touching upon epilepsy and neuromuscular medicine.
Our Faculty
Our faculty includes board-certified neurophysiologists, epileptologists, neuromuscular specialists and pediatric neurologists who are leaders in the field. They are dedicated to providing exceptional mentorship and training to our fellows.
Teaching Opportunities
Our fellowship program provides a rich and dynamic educational environment with abundant opportunities for fellows to develop their teaching skills. Situated at the same academic center as the Adult Neurology Residency Program, our fellows are integral to the training of the next generation of neurologists. They have the chance to mentor and instruct a diverse group of learners. Furthermore, our fellows engage with medical students from the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine and other affiliated institutions, allowing them to refine their educational techniques and contribute to the growth of future physicians.
