Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health Welcomes New Medical Director of Pediatric Kidney Transplant

Pediatric Nephrologist Namrata G. Jain, M.D., Named to Lead Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program

Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health welcomes Namrata G. Jain, M.D., as the new medical director of pediatric kidney transplant. She will be working in close collaboration with Kenneth Lieberman, M.D., Chief of Pediatric Nephrology, as well as physicians across each children’s hospital’s 30+ specialties.

As the previous Medical Director of Pediatric Kidney Transplant at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia, Dr. Jain brings her wealth of experience to New Jersey to continue to expand the pediatric transplant program at Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health.

Additionally, Dr. Jain is committed to research that improves quality outcomes for her patients and has contributed numerous publications to medical literature. She is an active member of multicenter studies, and is principal investigator for a Pediatric Nephrology Research Consortium study.

Board certified in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology and with more than a decade of experience, Dr. Jain earned her medical degree from New York Medical College. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Children’s Memorial Hospital (now Lurie Children’s Hospital) in Chicago, and a fellowship in pediatric nephrology at Boston Children’s Hospital.
