Location Summary

Our specialists provide consultation, diagnosis and treatment in collaboration with a patient’s private obstetrician.

It is our goal to diagnose and treat women with complicated pregnancies utilizing our expertise in the most current approaches.

A Maternal Fetal Medicine subspecialist, as defined and certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), is a subspecialist in obstetrics and gynecology who, by virtue of additional education, cares for and/or provides consultation for women with complications of pregnancy.

This activity requires advanced knowledge of the obstetrical, medical and surgical complications of pregnancy and their effect on both the mother and the fetus. It also requires expertise in the most current approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of women with complicated pregnancies.

A high-risk pregnancy is one in which a condition puts either the mother or the developing fetus, or both, at an increased risk for complications during or after pregnancy and birth.
