A general hospital bag should include your photo ID, insurance card, and any pre-registration paperwork. For comfort, pack a soft robe, slippers, and personal toiletries. A long phone charging cord is essential. For your baby, you only need a going-home outfit and a properly installed car seat, as the hospital provides other necessities. Don't forget to pack snacks and a change of clothes for your support person.
