Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU)

Advanced, Family-Centered Critical Care for Children Across NJ

Our pediatric intensive care units (PICUs) at Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health are specialized environments where advanced technology and a family-first approach come together to give your child the best chance at a healthy recovery. Designed for our most critically ill patients, from birth through age 21, each unit provides private rooms that allow a parent to remain at their child’s bedside around the clock.

As part of our state-designated children’s hospitals in New Jersey, our intensive care teams are equipped to treat a full spectrum of life-threatening conditions, from severe infections and trauma to complex post-surgical recovery.
