Application Process

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2022-2023 Academic Year and the 2023-2024 Academic Year. If you are interested in applying, please send the following documents to Dr. Sagot and Ms. Carolyn Tallman:

  • Your CV
  • Your personal statement indicating your interest in forensic psychiatry
  • Minimum of 3 letters of recommendation, including one from your training director and one from an attending psychiatrist who served as a direct clinical supervisor in the past year
  • Your official medical school transcript & diploma
  • An official copy of your MSPE (medical school performance evaluation/Dean’s letter)
  • Your official USMLE/COMLEX score reports (steps 1, 2, 3 or equivalent)
  • Identification of U.S. citizenship or permanent residence status
  • Medical license
  • 2 Writing Samples
  • Common Application

We accept J1 Visas.

International or Foreign Medical Graduates must either possess U.S. citizenship, have permanent residency, or must be eligible and seek ECFMG sponsorship as a J1 Exchange Visitor. We do not sponsor H1B visas.
