Inpatient Rehabilitation Information

Our inpatient rehabilitation program is a unit within Hackensack Meridian Riverview Medical Center.

Patients in this program are referred from hospital and physician providers through Hackensack Meridian Health network or local, regional, statewide, national and international facilities.

Our visitation hours are:
Monday - Friday 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday 1 p.m. - 8 p.m.

We do not accept patients who are:

Under age 18
Dependent on a ventilator
In a coma
Unable to participate in our acute rehabilitation program due to confusion, agitation and who require a closed unit for safety

What should I expect during my inpatient stay?

Inpatient rehabilitation involves a minimum of three hours of therapy per day, at least five days a week, tailored to your specific needs and goals. Your care team, led by a physiatrist, will include physical, occupational, and speech therapists, as well as rehabilitation nurses who provide 24-hour care.
